Who We Are

Surfing Andaman is the first and only company running surf trips to the Andaman Islands. We discovered a place that still flies under the radar of the global surf industry — pristine reefs, empty lineups, and vast raw nature waiting just for you.

We built, from scratch, all the infrastructure needed to operate in this unique environment, forged deep partnerships with the local community, and mapped out the best spots. Our groups are small and intimate — up to 6 surfers — to preserve the character of the place and deliver a genuine experience.

For us, surfing is first and foremost about connection — to the ocean, to nature, and to the people around you. This isn't another surf retreat. It's an unforgettable journey and a powerful surf experience unlike anything you've known.

ANDAMAN ISLANDS · INDIA
our story

How It All Began

The legend of the Andaman Islands has existed for decades. Ofek, CEO and founder of Surfing Andaman, first heard about the secret archipelago from Australians in their 70s whom he met at a hidden surf spot on the southern coast of Sumatra, Indonesia.

A few years ago we decided to act — grabbed a board and basic gear to see with our own eyes one of the last truly isolated places remaining. After an hour's ride on a motorbike through tropical jungle, we found perfect waves and a real hidden treasure that had yet to be discovered.

After two intense years of building basic infrastructure and forging close relationships with the locals, we took out a first scouting group to explore the island and begin uncovering its full potential. The success was staggering — far beyond any expectations.

Now we want to share this joy with more surfers. Flooding the island with hundreds or thousands of visitors would destroy this unique place, which is why our groups stay small and intimate, and we place a strong emphasis on sustainability and genuine partnership with the local community.

What the surfers say

Itamar
This was a different kind of trip than what I'm used to. The local culture, the food, and the vibe — we really blended in. Since there aren't many tourists, everything feels way more real and authentic.
Itamar
Dani
I've been surfing for over 20 years and didn't think places like this still existed. The journey to get there and the daily boat rides are demanding — but if you know how to appreciate a perfect peak with no one around, it's absolutely worth it.
Dani
Gideon
After the long journey we finally saw the waves and it caught us off guard. Proper swell, no joke. It took a couple of sessions to adjust, and then it just turned into wave after wave, non-stop, for a full week.
Gideon
Shachar
This was a pretty raw, primitive experience — no other way to put it. Like stepping back in time. Everything was simple: eat, surf, and in between just take in the incredible nature around you. We saw dolphins every day. That alone was worth the whole trip.
Shachar
